“What does the horse give you
That I cannot give you?”
Louise Gluck
My mom always says: takes one to know one, and I am always chasing wild horses. The first thing I ever straddled was the whiter of a horse. Could I have known at five years of age, that I would be Epona, that I could hold my womb hostage?
Installation and live performance in three 10 minute chapters featuring Aram Atamian. The performance included the reading of a text on patterns of attraction, abuse and regenaration, equestrian horseplay (straddling, whipping, salivating on a horsebit) large scale charcoal drawings, the consecutive peeling of apples and wine. In the performance the horse-girl becomes horse, and the gallery momentarily turns into a stable.
